Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and get started – no sign-up, no email address, no profile.
Where are my documents stored?
Only on your iPhone, in a protected area of the app. Titles, notes and recognised text are additionally stored in an encrypted database. There is no cloud.
Does MR DocuS work offline?
Yes. Scanning, text recognition, search and all tools run entirely on the device.
Does it sync between devices?
No, on purpose. Without a cloud there is no sync. To move, use your device backup or a ZIP file.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Choose “Device backup” under More → Back up & move and your documents move with your iCloud or computer backup. Or back up everything there as a ZIP file and import it on your new iPhone.
What happens after the free month?
The subscription then costs €0.99 per month. Cancel before and you pay nothing. Without a subscription, viewing, searching, sharing, exporting and backing up stay free – only new documents need the subscription.
Does my subscription move to a new iPhone?
Yes, with the same Apple ID. MR DocuS usually notices on its own. Otherwise tap “Restore subscription” under More → Subscription.
How do I cancel?
In the app under More → Subscription → Manage subscription. Or on your iPhone under Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Are recognised deadlines and amounts reliable?
They are suggestions that save you work. Please always check them against the original. MR DocuS is not legal or tax advice.
Does a scan replace the original?
Not in every case. Keep originals for as long as you are required to. MR DocuS is not an audit-proof archive for businesses.
